Indian Air Force AGNIVEERVAYU Recruitment 2023: Apply Online for 3500+ Posts

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has announced the Agniveervayu Recruitment 2023 under the Agnipath Scheme, offering an opportunity to unmarried Indian male and female candidates to experience the military way of life for four years. The recruitment aims to select candidates for AGNIVEERVAYU INTAKE 01/2024.

Eligibility Criteria:

 1. Age: Candidates born between 27th June 2003 and 27th December 2006 are eligible to apply. The upper age limit at the time of enrolment should be 21 years for those who clear all selection stages.

2. Marital Status and Pregnancy: Only unmarried candidates are eligible for enrolment as Agniveervayu. They must not marry during the four-year engagement period. Female candidates must not get pregnant during the engagement period.

 3. Educational Qualification:

• Science Subjects: Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English from recognized Education Boards with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR passed a three-year Diploma Course in Engineering from a recognized Polytechnic Institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the Diploma Course.

•    Other than Science Subjects: Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects from recognized Education Boards with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.

 4. Medical Standards:  Candidates must meet specific medical standards, including height, weight, chest expansion, hearing, dental health, and visual standards.

Mandatory Medical Standards. General Medical Standards for AGNIVEERVAYU male & female candidates are as follows:- 

(a) Height: 

(i) For Male candidates: Minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cms. 

(ii) For Female candidates: Minimum acceptable height is 152 cms. 

For candidates belonging to North East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand, a lower minimum height of 147 cms will be accepted. In case of candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum height will be 150 cms. 

Note: Candidates availing height relaxation for being domicile of North East/Hilly Regions of Uttarakhand/Lakshadweep are to submit domicile certificate with endorsement of domicile status at the time of Phase-II testing. Further, candidates from hilly regions of Uttarakhand must have specific endorsement of hilly region in their domicile certificate. 

(b) Weight: Proportionate to height and age. 

(c) Chest: For Male and Female candidates: The chest wall should be well proportioned with minimum range of expansion of 05 cms. 

(d) Hearing: Candidate should have normal hearing i.e. able to hear forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters by each ear separately. 

(e) Dental: Should have healthy gums, good set of teeth and minimum 14 dental points.

 5.  Tattoo Policy:  Permanent body tattoos are not permitted, except on the inner face of forearms, back of the hand, and tribal tattoos as per customs.

 

 Selection Process:

 The selection process includes an Online Test in both Science and Non-Science subjects. Candidates will be assessed on their performance, and up to 25% of each batch of Agniveervayu may be enrolled in the regular cadre of the Indian Air Force.

 

Engagement Period and Benefits:

Agniveervayu will be enrolled in the Indian Air Force for a period of four years. They will receive an Agniveer package of Rs. 30,000/- per month with various allowances, perks, medical facilities, and insurance coverage. On completion of the engagement period, they will be offered a 'Seva Nidhi' package as terminal benefits.

 How to Apply:

 Candidates need to apply online at https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in between 27th July 2023 and 17th August 2023. The online test will be conducted at designated centers, and eligible candidates will receive the provisional admit card via email.

 

Exam Fee:

Candidates are required to pay an examination fee of Rs. 250/- during the online application process.

Selection Process:

The selection process consists of an Online Test in both Science and Non-Science subjects. Candidates will be evaluated based on their performance in this test. Up to 25% of each Agniveervayu batch may be enrolled in the regular cadre of the Indian Air Force.

 

Engagement Period and Benefits:

Selected candidates will be engaged in the Indian Air Force for a period of four years.

Agniveervayu enrolled under this scheme will receive the following pay, allowances, and benefits:

• Agniveer Package: Rs. 30,000 per month with a fixed yearly increment.
• Risk and Hardship allowances, Dress and Travel allowances.
• Ration, clothing, accommodation, and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) as per existing rules.
• Insurance Cover: Non-contributory Life Insurance cover of Rs. 48 lakhs for the duration of engagement period.

Terminal Benefits - Seva Nidhi Package:  

AGNIVEERVAYU will be given one time ‘Seva Nidhi’ package comprising their monthly contribution along with matching contribution by the Government on completion of their engagement period, as indicated below: -

 Note 1: AGNIVEERVAYU will not be required to contribute to any Provident Fund of the Government. 

 Note 2: There shall be no entitlement to gratuity and any kind of pensionary benefits. 

• Insurance, Death and Disability Compensation. AGNIVEERVAYU will be provided non-contributory Life Insurance cover of Rs. 48 Lakhs for the duration of their engagement period as AGNIVEERVAYU in the Indian Air Force. • ‘Agniveer Skill Certificate’. At the end of engagement period, a detailed Skill-Set certificate will be provided to the AGNIVEERVAYU, highlighting the skills and level of competency acquired by the personnel during their engagement period.

• ‘Not Entitled to the ESM Status’. Personnel enrolled under this Scheme will not be eligible for Ex-Servicemen status after their discharge from the Service on completion of four years engagement period.
